eMMC Working Principle
The eMMC operation involves a coordinated interaction between host, controller, and flash memory components. The complete process from command issuance to data storage follows these systematic procedures:
Data Writing Process
  1. The host transmits a write command and target data to the eMMC controller via the MMC interface, simultaneously specifying the data storage address
  2. Upon receiving the command and data, the controller temporarily stores the information in its built-in cache and performs error checking through the ECC module
  3. Using wear leveling algorithms, the controller selects optimal NAND flash memory areas (avoiding bad blocks and heavily worn sectors), converts cached data into flash-readable format, and issues block erase and page write commands
  4. The NAND flash executes erase operations (clearing target block data) and writes new data into designated storage units
  5. Following successful writing, the flash memory returns a completion signal to the controller, which then relays the result back to the host, finalizing the write operation
Industrial-Grade Reliability
These eMMC modules are engineered to withstand harsh industrial environments, featuring vibration resistance certified by 1000g shock tests and wide operating temperature ranges for maximum data security in factory equipment applications.
