TF card (TransFlash card) is the old name of microSD card, commonly used in mobile phones, tablets, digital cameras, drones, portable game consoles and other devices. It is a small removable memory card, usually 15mm x 11mm x 1mm, which is much smaller than a normal SD card and is suitable for devices that require small storage media.
Relationship between TF card and microSD card
Originally, TF cards were introduced by SanDisk in 2004 as a smaller storage medium than SD cards. Later, the SD Association standardized the TF card and renamed it microSD card, thus becoming the standard name in the market.
Although the name has changed, "TF card" and "microSD card" refer to the same card, but with different names. Now, it is generally called microSD card in the market, and "TF card" is more of a historical name.
