Data Reading Process
- The host sends a "read command" and the storage address of the target data to the eMMC controller
- After parsing the command, the controller issues a "page read" command to the NAND flash memory, specifying the storage unit to be read
- The NAND flash memory reads the data at the specified address and transmits it to the controller's cache
- The controller performs error detection and correction on the read data through the ECC module to ensure data integrity
- The controller transmits the corrected correct data to the host through the MMC interface to complete the reading process
Throughout the process, the controller always assumes the role of "intermediate coordination", shielding the underlying complex operations of NAND flash memory (such as bad block processing and wear leveling), so that the host only needs to complete data storage through standardized MMC commands, which greatly simplifies the difficulty of software development on the host side.
