Local video storage: This is the most basic function. IP cameras will compress real-time monitoring images in the form of video streams (such as H.265 format) and directly write them to memory cards, without relying on external hard disk recorders (NVRs) or the cloud. Users can use the camera management app to retrieve historical recordings from the memory card based on time and events (such as motion detection triggers) to meet their daily viewing needs.
Emergency backup for network disconnection: When the network is interrupted or cloud services fail, the memory card will automatically switch to "emergency storage mode" to continue saving video data. After the network is restored, some cameras can still upload the recorded footage during the network outage to the cloud, avoiding monitoring "downtime" caused by network problems, especially suitable for scenarios such as homes and shops that require high monitoring continuity.
